In many countries, people who stand up for their human rights are at risk. Much has improved in recent years, but still we see governments and political groups massively restricting human rights. People who stand up for their rights, such as legal counsellors, media professionals, environmental activists and other critical voices, are particularly at risk. [...] Amnesty International is the world's largest human rights defence movement. Amnesty is independent of governments, political parties, ideologies, economic interests and religions. To ensure this independence, we finance our human rights work solely from donations and membership fees. Our campaigns and actions are based on the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

On 12 July, we gave a charity concert for Amnesty International (Spandau branch) in the Luisenkirche in Berlin-Charlottenburg. Beforehand, we were able to support the weekly prayer for peace with our singing. It was an atmospheric concert with which we wanted to support the important work of Amnesty International. Thank you for your support at this benefit concert and thank you for supporting the work of Amnesty with your presence.
