CHOIR TRIP 2024
Choir trip 2024
Feriendorf Groß Väter See, 7 June to 9 June 2024
From the 7th to the 9th of June, the Popchor Spandau set off for its first choir and rehearsal trip in five years to Groß Väter See, north of Berlin. Three weeks before the summer concert of this year, we were all very happy to be able to spend almost three days with each other. Especially as there were many new choir members to get to know better and one or two songs still needed some, shall we say, fine-tuning?
It was an intensive rehearsal weekend, which we used to improve our current repertoire, practise steps and choreographies and for vocal training. Our choirmaster, Oliver Seidel, invited the choirmaster and singer Becca Tjimbawe to Groß Väter See especially for the vocal training, working with us on rhythm, intonation and listening to each other.
But there was also plenty of time to explore the area, jump into the still very cold Groß Väter See and socialise. Two very pleasant evenings, of course with campfire and singing, and a game, which was created with great effort and won by our Altos, rounded off the leisure time experience. We are looking forward to the Alto's suggestion for another Christmas carol to add to our Christmas repertoire, as this was the prize that was won.
Thank you to everyone who planned and organised these wonderful days together.
